Ayden Redmon (he/they) is the primary dreamer behind Hawk’s Pine Farm. It has been his dream for most of his life to live and work on a farm. Together with his wife, Jess, they used to spend hours scouring real estate websites looking for farms for sale, so when the farm became available in October 2021, they knew they had to buy it. As they began planning what to do with the farm, they realized there was a need for rural spaces that were safe for queer (and especially trans) people. Being openly non-binary trans themselves, they saw how their neighbors reacted to them and realized that this was the perfect place to create that safe space! With that goal in mind, they put together a team of accepting and affirming people committed to achieving their vision. You will often find Ayden making modifications to match their vision, or planning what new animals or activities they can bring to make Hawk’s Pine Farm a unique and welcoming environment.
In his free time, you can find him playing with his two kids, reading fantasy or romance novels, playing games on the Switch, volunteering with their local animal shelter, or playing DND. .
